Una vez más, Game of Thrones se convierte en la serie más nominada camino a los Emmy. Este año, la producción de HBO cuenta con 23 nominaciones, entre las que se encuentra, la de mejor serie dramática.
A Games of Thrones le siguen la miniserie The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story con 22 candidaturas, Fargo con 18 y Veep con 17.
El premio a la mejor actriz de una serie dramática tiene como nominadas a la ganadora del año pasado, Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), Claire Danes (Homeland), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Keri Russell (The Americans) y Robin Wright (House of Cards).
Por otra parte, Anthony Anderson (Black-ish), Aziz Ansari (Master of None), Will Forte (Last Man on Earth), William H. Macy (Shameless), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) y Jeffrey Tambor (Transparent), el vencedor del año pasado, se disputarán el galardón de mejor actor cómico.
La edición número 68 de los premios más importantes de la televisión será presentada por Jimmy Kimmel y se llevará a cabo el 18 de septiembre en el Microsoft Theater de Los Ángeles
