Julianne Moore y Felicity Jones favoritas a llevarse el premio BAFTA a mejor actriz
El filme «The Grand Budapest Hotel» y la cinta sobre el científico Stephen Hawking «The Theory of Everything» se consagraron hoy como favoritas a los premios de cine Bafta del Reino Unido con once y diez candidaturas, respectivamente.
La Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión (Bafta) dio a conocer la lista de los candidatos a estos prestigiosos galardones, considerados como la antesala de los Oscar, que serán entregados en Londres el próximo 8 de febrero.
Además de esas dos cintas, figuran como candidatas a mejor película «Birdman», del cineasta mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu, quien está nominado a tres estatuillas, como mejor director, mejor guión original y mejor película.
«The Theory of Everything» tiene entre sus candidaturas las de mejor actor y mejor actriz, Eddie Redmayne y Felicity Jones, por sus actuaciones en la cinta sobre la vida Stephen Hawking cuando le fue diagnosticada la esclerosis lateral amiotrófica (ELA) que le causa parálisis y que está basada en una biografía de su mujer, Jane.
Las casas de apuestas británicas tienen a Eddie Redmayne como favorito para llevarse el premio al mejor actor, muy por delante del británico Benedict Cumberbatch y el estadounidense Michael Keaton, mientras que en la categoría de mejor actriz, junto a Julianne Moore y Felicity Jones, aspiran al Bafta Amy Adams, por «Big Eyes»; Reese Witherspoon, por «Wild», y Rosamund Pike, por «Gone Girl».
Entre las candidaturas a los Bafta 2015 para las cintas en lengua no inglesa está el filme en portugués «Trash», sobre la historia de unos niños en las favelas de Río de Janeiro.
Junto a «Trash», completan la lista de los filmes en lengua no inglesa «Ida», de Polonia; «Leviathan», de Rusia; «The Lunchbox», de la India, y «The days, one night», de Bélgica.
