Minnie is locked in a tower when she refuses to marry a Prince chosen by her father. Mickey attempts to rescue her is caught by guards, duels with the Prince. Mickey victorious, wins Minnie.

Mickey is conducting a concert in the park when ice cream and peanut vendor Donald Duck disrupts the music by playing “Turkey in the Straw” on his fife. Undeterred, Mickey continues with “The William Tell Overture.” A real cyclone appears and takes Mickey and the band, still playing, for a ride. (First Mickey Mouse cartoon in Technicolor.)

Mickey builds house for Bobo, a baby elephant he received as a gift. A jealous Pluto puts pepper in Bobo’s trunk. Bobo sneezes both his and Pluto’s home to bits.

Mickey Mouse art. While hunting quail, Mickey tries to teach Pluto to be a “pointer”. Pluto is distracted by the trail of a worm, and an angry bear takes his place at Mickey’s heels. When Mickey discovers the switch, he tries to calm the bear by saying he is the famous star, “Mickey Mouse.” The bear is not impressed. Mickey and Pluto flee, and Pluto, having learned his lesson, “points” at a can of beans, which will be their supper.

Mickey and Minnie see a turn-of-the century vaudeville show, after which they take a spin in the latest model “horseless carriage.” It ends in a wreck when they come across a cow.

Dickens’ well-known Christmas story is retold with Mickey Mouse as Bob Cratchit.
