"Cáncer, la batalla que no elegimos"
Waiting to speak with a radiologist about treatment of the cancer in her bone and on her liver, Jen is anxious and irritated.
While hospitalized, Jen asked me to bring our clippers from home and shave her head, since chemotherapy was causing her hair to fall out.
From the Series "The Battle We Didn't Choose, My Wife's Fight with Breast Cancer."
Jen applies her final touches as we prepare to go to my parent's 60th wedding anniversary.
After a summer walk, Jen sits in the window and paints her nails.
Late for a brain radiation apointment, nauseated and tired, the smells from our neighbrohood were nearly too much for Jen.
From the series, "The Battle We Didn't Choose, My Wife's Fight with Breast Cancer."
Riding home in a cab after chemotherapy treatment, Jen rests her head on her mom's shoulder.
Jen was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer in February of 2008, just 5 months after her and Angelo's wedding. Angelo began to photograph the couple's day to day life after they learned that Jen's cancer had spread to her liver and hip. Jennifer's grace, courage and optism along with the love that Jen and Ange shared has served as inspiration to countless amounts of people.
